AIL reiterates importance of High-Tech Farming at the Commonwealth Business Conference
Agrivo International had a great start to the new month having been part of the Commonwealth Alliance of Youth Entrepreneurs (CAYE) Youth Business Conference 2018 on 2nd April 2018. The Youth Business Conference 2018 is a platform for youth entrepreneurs and business leaders from the commonwealth countries to interact with like-minded entrepreneurs from the Asia Pacific region, to build new networks, gain insights into best practices and explore new business opportunities in the region.
Dato’ Joel Low, CEO and Executive Director of Agrivo International, shared in depth the impact a growing population has on existing food supplies and the challenges the agriculture sector is up against. He also spoke about the existing innovative solutions - including those offered at Agrivo International - which are available via high-tech farming and the positive changes that could be provided to growing populations in cities like Singapore. Elaborating more on High-Tech farming was Mr Ben Pan, co-founder of Let's Grow Pte Ltd, an urban and vertical farm based in Singapore.
Other notable leaders at the conference include Mr Teng Theng Dar, Singapore’s Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman and the previous Chairman and former Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Business Federation – the apex chamber of the Singapore business communities.
